According to the tantalum carbide feed, the wax-based binder with good surface affinity with the tantalum carbide is selected to replace an organic solvent, the mass fraction of the tantalum carbide in the feed is as high as 90-95 wt%, and a tantalum carbide coating with high density and few cracks can be prepared by adopting the tantalum carbide feed; the obtained tantalum carbide product can meet the performance requirement of high-purity ceramic single crystal growth on a substrate material.
