The invention relates to the technical field of water conservancy and hydropower ecological protection, in particular to a fish habitat building structure and method for a water-wind-light integrated drainage basin. Comprising multiple layers of inhabitation box assemblies which are arranged at intervals from top to bottom, every two vertically adjacent inhabitation box assemblies are connected through multiple elastic ropes, and the top of the inhabitation box assembly on the uppermost layer is connected with a floating ball body through multiple upper pull wires; the bottom of the inhabiting box assembly on the lowest layer is connected with a balancing weight through a plurality of lower pull wires. By adopting the fish habitat building structure, the building method comprises the following steps: S1, building and site selection of the placement area of the fish habitat building structure; s2, hoisting equipment is used for hoisting the whole fish habitat building structure, and the whole fish habitat building structure is placed in the placement area selected in the step S1 for placement; and S3, when the water level changes, inflating or deflating the floating ball body to change the buoyancy of the floating ball body and adjust the elevation of the inhabitation box assembly so as to adapt to fish inhabitation conditions under different water level variable amplitudes.
