The invention provides super-tough anti-cracking modified asphalt for an ultrathin overlay and a preparation method and application of the super-tough anti-cracking modified asphalt. The modified asphalt is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of petroleum asphalt, 5 to 10 parts of elastomer binding agent, 5 to 10 parts of internal stress absorbent, 0.1 to 0.3 part of antioxidant, 0.01 to 0.05 part of nano ZnO, 1 to 5 parts of interfacial agent and 0.001 to 0.005 part of vulcanizing agent. Asphalt is compounded and modified through an elastomer binding agent and an internal stress absorbent, a few asphalt molecules are bound through a vulcanization structure of symmetrical linear molecules, the high-temperature performance of the asphalt is improved, and liquid nitrile rubber is dissolved in the bound asphalt molecules by utilizing the excellent low-temperature performance and flowing state of the liquid nitrile rubber; and finally, a boundary-sea-island double-network structure is formed, the peripheral network structure provides certain high and low temperature performance, and the inner network structure mainly improves the low-temperature toughness of the material and enhances the crack resistance of the asphalt.
