The gelling agent and cement mixed assembly type batten is prepared from the following components: 0.35 to 0.7 percent of cement, 10 to 15 percent of gelling agent, 0.35 to 0.7 percent of magnesium chloride, 0.1 to 0.3 percent of water reducing agent, 1 to 2 percent of foam particles and 70 to 85 percent of industrial waste residue. The invention also provides a preparation method which comprises the following steps: (1) uniformly stirring the cement, the gelling agent, the magnesium chloride, the water reducing agent, the foam particles and the industrial waste residues in percentage by weight with water to obtain a mixture; and (2) carrying out compression molding on the mixture, and carrying out air drying at room temperature for 3-5 days to obtain the product. The foam particles are added, so that the density of the material is reduced, relatively high strength is kept, and the thermal insulation performance of a wall body is improved; the industrial waste residues are used for replacing part of cement, dependence on natural resources is reduced, and the production cost is reduced.
