The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1) obtaining plant-growing particles, wetting the plant-growing particles, and then draining excessive water for later use; 2) in a stirrer, cement and mortar glue are fully stirred, after uniform stirring, polypropylene fibers are added for stirring, the mixture is fully mixed, then water is added for stirring, and a cement mixture is obtained; 3) putting the cement mixture into a granulator to obtain formed cement particles; and (4) alternately and respectively paving multiple layers of the plant-growing particles and the cement particles in a mold, then compacting each layer, moisturizing and curing, and demolding to obtain the plant-growing concrete test block. While the self weight of the ecological brick is reduced, the overall performance such as porosity, compressive strength and breaking strength of the ecological brick can meet the slope protection requirement, and the ecological brick has good durability such as frost heaving resistance.
