Modular edge compaction wheel
A system and assembly includes a modular edge compaction wheel having a plurality of separable sections to form edges of a substrate, such as an asphalt mat, at different depths. After forming a portion of the base edge at an initial depth, segments of the modular edge compaction wheel assembly may be attached by stacking and fastening the segments together to form another portion of the base edge at a greater depth. The edge forming assembly may include an actuation mechanism to extend and retract the modular edge compaction wheel assembly.
