The present disclosure relates to a mold for glass forming wherein the mold comprises a ceramic material comprising 35% to 70% by weight of hexagonal boron nitride, 30% to 65% by weight of zirconium dioxide, and 1% to 20% by weight of silicon carbide, based on the total weight of the ceramic material, and has a surface roughness Ra of at most 1.0 m. The disclosure also relates to methods of forming glass parts using such molds.
