The invention discloses antibacterial ceramic glaze and a preparation method thereof. The antibacterial ceramic glaze provided by the invention is prepared from the following raw material components: bentonite, potassium feldspar, quartz, barium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, zirconite, nano titanium nitride, lanthanum cobaltate microspheres and an antibacterial additive. The preparation method comprises the steps of ball-milling mixing, ultrasonic treatment, ball-milling and the like. Through reasonable proportioning and ball milling treatment, the antibacterial ceramic glaze with uniform performance is prepared. Compared with the prior art, the glaze has an efficient antibacterial effect and excellent thermal shock resistance after being calcined at a high temperature, and shows excellent antibacterial ability under an illumination condition.
