The invention relates to the field of buildings, in particular to a steel structure building and a construction technology thereof. Comprising vertical frames, grooves are formed in the middles of the vertical frames, I-shaped plates are slidably connected into the two corresponding grooves in the two symmetrically-arranged vertical frames, a plurality of transverse supporting frames are arranged on the symmetrical faces, close to each other, of the two symmetrically-arranged vertical frames respectively, and transverse supporting plates are detachably connected to the transverse supporting frames arranged on the two symmetrically-arranged vertical frames; each vertical frame is provided with a side supporting frame, and each side supporting frame is detachably connected with a side supporting plate. The process comprises the following steps: step 1, fixing a vertical frame; secondly, connecting of the symmetrically-arranged vertical frames is achieved through installation of the I-shaped plates; thirdly, the fixed vertical frames are connected through transverse supporting plates and side supporting plates; and fourthly, the transverse supporting plates and the side supporting plates are fixed by installing the positioning pipes. The position of the pile body of the steel structure building can be adjusted, and rapid building of steel structures of different areas is achieved through the plates connected to the pile body in a sliding mode.
