The invention relates to artificial sand composite concrete and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of concrete.The composite concrete is prepared from cement, artificial sand, gravel, water, a water reducing agent, modified polyvinyl alcohol fibers, silicon carbide whiskers and steel fibers; the composite concrete further comprises methyl cellulose. The modified polyvinyl alcohol fiber is self-made, and the compressive strength of the composite concrete can be enhanced to a certain extent when the modified polyvinyl alcohol fiber is used for preparing the composite concrete. In addition, silicon carbide whiskers and steel fibers are doped on the basis of the self-made modified polyvinyl alcohol fibers to enhance the effect of the concrete, so that the composite concrete has excellent toughness due to the synergistic effect of the silicon carbide whiskers, the steel fibers and the self-made modified polyvinyl alcohol fibers; and the methyl cellulose can increase the orderliness of the flowing state of the system to a certain extent, prevent the clustering phenomenon between the fibers and the whiskers, and effectively assist in strengthening the toughness of the system to a certain extent.
