The invention provides a single-tube communication iron tower reinforcing device and method based on iron-based shape memory alloy self-prestress, which is used for reinforcing an iron tower and comprises a top positioning disc, a middle steering disc, a bottom ground anchor system, excitation equipment, a plurality of iron-based shape memory alloy stranded wires and a plurality of extrusion anchor heads, the top positioning disc and the middle steering disc are installed on the top and the middle of an iron tower correspondingly. The bottom ground anchor system is fixed to the bottom ground of the iron tower. The extrusion anchor heads are used for being fixed to the two ends of the iron-based shape memory alloy stranded wire so as to be connected with the top positioning disc and the bottom ground anchor system, and the excitation equipment is used for energizing and exciting the iron-based shape memory alloy stranded wire.
