The invention relates to the technical field of box girder supports, in particular to an adjustable box girder support and a construction method. The adjustable box girder support comprises a box girder support body, supporting legs, a connecting disc piece and a regulation and control assembly; supporting of the box girder support is adjusted mainly through an arranged adjusting and controlling assembly. According to regulation and control of supporting legs at the bottom end of a box girder support body, adjustment is carried out through matched use of arranged sleeves and supporting regulation and control bodies, so that a supporting chassis makes contact with the construction ground, and then locking and positioning are carried out through a regulation and control locking structure; in the process, supporting auxiliary threaded columns are arranged on the supporting chassis at equal intervals, and the supporting auxiliary threaded columns are screwed to make contact with the ground; and the device can be well adapted to an uneven supporting surface or a hollow supporting surface, so that the stable supporting of the device is ensured.
