The invention relates to the field of additive manufacturing ceramics, in particular to a toughened ceramic material and an additive manufacturing method thereof. The ceramic material comprises the following raw materials: ceramic particles, a surface modifier and a photocuring adhesive, the ceramic particles comprise aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide and nano spherical zirconium-aluminum alloy in a mass ratio of (50-70): (15-25): (3-10). The problem that an aluminum oxide ceramic material is poor in toughness can be effectively solved, and mechanical properties such as hardness, fracture toughness and bending strength of the aluminum oxide ceramic material are optimized and improved.
