The invention discloses a suspension protection excavation method for an existing pipeline, which can effectively protect the pipeline, reduce the disturbance of soil around the pipeline in the underground structure construction process and ensure the stability of the pipeline in the underground structure construction process under the condition that the pipeline is not migrated. The suspension protection excavation method for the existing pipeline comprises the steps that construction preparation is conducted, and earth surface sundries in a construction area are removed; the current pipeline is searched, the position of the current pipeline is marked, and then support piles are constructed around the excavation construction area; crown beams are constructed, and the adjacent supporting piles are connected; a first foundation pit inner support is constructed, and the opposite supporting piles are connected; mounting a supporting beam and a suspension beam; earthwork is excavated layer by layer at the crown beams on the two sides of the pipeline, and retaining walls are constructed; and the pipelines are suspended, earthwork is excavated in a layered mode in an excavation construction area defined by the supporting piles, and a retaining wall is constructed till construction reaches the foundation elevation.
