The invention relates to the technical field of concrete, and particularly discloses durable concrete and a preparation method thereof. The durable concrete is prepared from 300 to 500 parts of cement, 600 to 700 parts of fine aggregate, 650 to 780 parts of coarse aggregate, 150 to 200 parts of water, 5 to 7 parts of water reducing agent and 100 to 230 parts of admixture, the fine aggregate is a continuous grading fine aggregate with the particle size of 0.16 to 2.5 mm; the coarse aggregate is a continuous grading coarse aggregate with the particle size of 5-20 mm; the preparation method comprises the following steps: stirring and mixing the coarse aggregate, the fine aggregate, the admixture and the cement to obtain a mixture; and adding the water reducing agent into water, stirring and mixing, adding into the mixture, and stirring and mixing to obtain the durable concrete. The durable concrete provided by the invention has relatively high compactness and high mechanical strength, is not easy to crack after being used for a long time, and has good durability.
