The invention relates to the technical field of water conservancy and hydropower construction, and discloses a canal desilting device for water conservancy and hydropower construction and a using method thereof.The canal desilting device comprises a machine body and a desilting body, a first motor is arranged in the desilting body, the front of the first motor is connected with a smashing shaft, and a first gear is arranged at one end of the smashing shaft and engaged with a second gear; a first motor drives crushing shafts to rotate, so that first gears at one ends of the crushing shafts rotate synchronously, and due to the fact that the first gears are meshed with second gears, the multiple crushing shafts in a dredging body rotate synchronously, and impurities and large cakes in sludge are crushed; and meanwhile, the front end of the first motor drives a first transmission belt to rotate through a belt wheel, so that the first transmission belt drives a shifting piece to rotate, the sludge crushed by the crushing shaft is shifted to the rear side, and after the sludge is shifted to the rear side, the sludge is extracted through a first slurry pump.
