The invention belongs to the technical field of neutron shielding materials, and discloses a composite neutron absorbing material and a preparation method thereof. The invention aims to provide a composite neutron absorbing material. The composite neutron absorbing material comprises the following components in parts by mass: 50-70 parts of basalt, 30-50 parts of polyethylene, 1-2 parts of a platinum catalyst and 20-40 parts of boron carbide. The preparation method comprises the following steps: taking the components in parts by mass, mixing basalt, boron carbide, polyethylene and the platinum catalyst to obtain a mixed material, adding absolute ethyl alcohol, and carrying out ball milling to obtain a ball-milled material; adding water into the ball-milled material, carrying out ultrasonic treatment, filtering and drying, carrying out hot mixing and banburying, discharging, and standing to room temperature to obtain a material to be treated; and carrying out hot pressing operation on the to-be-treated material, cooling, releasing pressure and demolding to obtain the composite neutron absorbing material. The neutron absorbing material disclosed by the invention is remarkably improved in flexibility and high and low temperature resistance.
本发明属于中子屏蔽材料技术领域,公开了一种复合型中子吸收材料及其制备方法。本发明的目的是提供一种复合型中子吸收材料,按质量份数计包括如下组分:50~70份玄武岩、30~50份聚乙烯、1~2份铂金催化剂、20~40份碳化硼。制备方法包括如下步骤:按上述质量份数计取各组分,先将玄武岩、碳化硼和聚乙烯、铂金催化剂混合,得混料,加入无水乙醇球磨,得球磨料;将球磨料加入水,超声波处理,过滤干燥,热混密炼,出料,静置至室温,得待处理料;将待处理料进行热压操作,冷却卸压脱模,即得复合型中子吸收材料。本发明公开的中子吸收材料对柔韧性、耐高低温效果的提升显著。
