The invention discloses a cementitious material containing clay minerals. The cementitious material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 55-60 parts of clay minerals; 10-20 parts of a flue gas desulfurization byproduct; 10-20 parts of converter steel slag; 5-10 parts of a modifier; the modifier is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 20 to 25 parts of calcium silicate, 10 to 25 parts of tricalcium aluminate, 1 to 5 parts of nano aluminum oxide, 10 to 15 parts of tricalcium silicate, 5 to 15 parts of tetra calcium aluminoferrite, 2 to 6 parts of methyl polycarboxylic acid and 1 to 5 parts of vinyl acetate. Compared with the existing cement clinker or solid waste-based cementing material, the cementing material containing the clay mineral provided by the invention is prepared from the clay mineral, the desulfurization by-product, the steel slag, the modifier and the like as raw materials, and the cement clinker and slag are not added, so that the cost of the raw materials is greatly reduced, and the cementing material containing the clay mineral has good compressive strength.
