The invention discloses a preparation method of nano calcium hydroxide with controllable particle size, which comprises the following steps: (1) crushing calcium oxide to obtain calcium oxide powder with the maximum particle size of not more than 5mm; (2) carrying out ball milling on the calcium oxide powder or a mixture of the calcium oxide powder and a grinding aid to obtain calcium oxide ultrafine powder with the average particle size of not more than 50 microns; (3) uniformly mixing the calcium oxide ultrafine powder with a liquid dispersant to obtain calcium oxide sticky slurry or calcium oxide emulsion; (4) adding water into the calcium oxide sticky slurry or the calcium oxide emulsion, stirring, and digesting calcium oxide to obtain calcium hydroxide; and (5) drying and separating the calcium hydroxide to obtain the nano calcium hydroxide. The preparation method is low in cost, simple in preparation and controllable in particle size.
