The unit has a set of construction elements installed on a base, where each element comprises hinge points (1-4) forming multi-directional hinges. The first hinge point is fixed at the base, and the second and third hinge points form a fixing point for an adjacent construction element. The construction elements are connected with each other by the second or third hinge point or by the second and third hinge points. A force transmission element (5) is connected to the fourth hinge point different from the first hinge point and located in a plane. An independent claim is also included for a method for erecting a construction unit.
