The invention relates to a boring device for producing a bore for a foundation pile for constructing a structure in a body of water, comprising a boring tool which is arranged on a movable arm, a tensioning device which is designed to clamp the boring device in the foundation pile, which is arranged at the upper end, and which has a clamping element that functions as a counter bearing. The tensioning device has an arm on which the clamping element is arranged, and the arm of the tensioning device can be pivoted from a first position to a second position, in which the clamping element is engaged with the wall of the foundation pile, by means of a drive. A guide device is provided which is designed to guide the boring device in the foundation pile and a first end of which is arranged on the lower body and a second end has a sliding element. The guide device has an arm on which the sliding element is arranged, and the arm of the guide device can be pivoted from a first position to a second position, in which the sliding element is engaged with the wall of the foundation pile, by means of a drive.
