The invention relates to a double wall (3), comprising a first wall plate (1), a second wall plate (2) spaced apart from the first wall plate (1) and connecting elements (4) which connect the first wall plate (1) to the second wall plate (2), wherein each of the two wall plates (1, 2) has a concrete layer (5) and a wall plate reinforcement (6). The wall plate reinforcement (6) comprises an outer reinforcement layer (7) and an inner reinforcement layer (8) which intersects the outer reinforcement layer (7), wherein the inner reinforcement layer (7) and the outer reinforcement layer (8) are connected to each other by means of a connection (23) at at least 10% of the intersection points (K) thereof, at least one of the two wall plates (1, 2) has a concrete layer (5) comprising a thickness between 10 mm and 45 mm and at least one of the concrete layers (5) contains a high-strength or ultra-high-strength concrete, wherein one of the two reinforcement layers (7, 8) has an embedding depth (E) in the concrete layer (5), which is smaller than the diameter (D) of the only partially embedded reinforcement layer (7, 8). The invention further relates to a method for producing a double wall (3) according to the invention.
