The invention relates to a control apparatus (20) for controlling a door and/or gate drive apparatus (16), having a sensor device (22) for detecting at least one atmospheric condition (24) of an area (14) which can be closed by a door (38) and/or a gate (12), and having a signal output device (26) for outputting a movement command signal depending on the detected atmospheric condition (24) at a door and/or gate drive apparatus (16) for moving the door (38) and/or the gate (12). The invention further relates to a door and/or gate drive apparatus (16) which has a control apparatus (20) of this kind, to a garage door arrangement (11) with a door and/or gate drive apparatus (16) of this kind, and also to a method for moving a door (38) and/or a gate (12). An internal sensor (21a) and an external sensor (21b) are provided, wherein the command is output depending on a comparison of the measurements on the inside and on the outside.
