The invention relates to a machine (1) for cleaning soiled ballast (2) of a track (3), comprising a sieving unit (9) which has at least one discharge opening (16) for cleaned ballast (12), said sieving unit (9) being associated with conveying devices (10, 11) for conveying cleaned ballast (12) and spoil (13). The discharge opening (16) is associated with a guide device (18) that can be adjusted by a drive (23) and by means of which part of the cleaned ballast (12) can be directed away. The adjustable guide device (18) allows the quantity of the cleaned ballast (12) to be controlled.
