A floor board (1) comprising a substrate (13) having side edges (2-3, 4-5) and a decorative surface layer (16) applied to said substrate (13), said substrate comprising MDF or HDF material at at least one side edge (2), characterized in that said side edge (2) is treated with an impregnation agent (14); wherein said at least one side edge (2) together with another side edge (3) opposite thereto forms a first pair of opposite side edges (2-3) of said substrate (13); wherein said floor board (1) further comprises a second pair of opposite side edges (4-5); wherein said first pair of opposite side edges (2-3) or said second pair of opposite side edges (4-5) comprises a lowered edge surface (32).
