A PANEL SYSTEM WITH AN INSTALLATION PROFILE HAVING ONE OR MORE BORDER SECTIONS, AND A METHOD OF ADAPTING SUCH A PANEL SYSTEM
The panel system (3) comprises a number of fixed panels (1) and a number of openable panels (2), each fixed panel (1) and each openable panel (2) comprising a frame structure composed of a set of profile elements (11, 12, 13, 14, 21, 22, 23, 24) encasing a panelling element (5; 15; 15'), said frame structure including one top profile element (11, 21) configured to be connected to a supporting structure by means of a mounting and hinge assembly. The mounting and hinge assembly comprises an installation profile (9; 9') with a main body (90) having a first, interior end and a second, exterior end, and that at least one border section is provided in connection with at least one of the first, interior end and the second, exterior end of the main body (90). The installation profile (9; 9') comprises an extruded profile of a metallic material and at least one of the border sections of the installation profile (9; 9') is exchangeable for an extension element (97, 98) of a thermal insulation material.
