Device (1), in particular a carriage (1'), for aligning a track support plate (2) with respect to an underlying surface (10), having: - a bogie (3), - running gear (4) for moving the bogie (3) along the track support plate (2) and - a position-determining means (7) for determining an actual position (Pactual) of the track support plate (2), wherein a control unit (17) and an adjusting device (18) with at least one preferably electrically driven setting unit (19) for adjusting at least one spacer element (14) on the track support plate (2) are provided, wherein the control unit (17) is designed to receive the actual position (Pactual) from the position-determining means (7) and to align the track support plate (2) on the basis of the actual position (Pactual) in accordance with a target position (Ptarget) by driving the adjusting device (18). Furthermore, a method for aligning a track support plate (2) with the aid of the device (1) and a method for producing a slab track (24) are also provided.
