METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COATING A GALVANIZED FENCE PANEL AND THE RESULTING FENCE PANEL
The invention concerns a method for powder coating a galvanized double-wire fencing panel comprising horizontal and vertical wires, wherein the method comprises the steps: feeding the fence panel into two sequential spray booths substantially horizontally, so that a second spray booth is positioned downstream of a first spray booth, wherein a powder is sprayed onto the fence panel in each spray booth by means of spraying means, and wherein the powder adheres to the wires of the fence panel by electrostatic forces; and curing the fence panel in one or more ovens, wherein a coated galvanized fence panel is obtained comprising horizontal wires coated with a first coating thickness and vertical wires coated with a second coating thickness, wherein the ratio of the first and the second coating thickness is between 2.2/1 and 1/2.2. The invention also concerns an apparatus for powder coating a galvanized double-wire fence panel and the resulting coated galvanized double-wire fence panel.
