The invention relates to an enclosure (10) for mounting an extinguishing device (1) of a firefighting system in a concrete or reinforced concrete slab (2) to be poured, the enclosure comprising a body (15) which is provided for remaining in the concrete or reinforced concrete slab (2) in its cured state. The body (15) has a lower side (16) by means of which the body (15) can be placed on a formwork (21) provided to delimit the concrete or reinforced concrete slab (2) during production of the concrete or reinforced concrete slab (2), wherein the body (15) defines an interior (9) which is open towards the lower side (16) and which forms a receiving region (8) for an extinguishing head (3) of the extinguishing device (1). A passage (18) leads into the interior (9), which passage is provided for running a connection through between the receiving region (8) and at least one connecting line (6, 7) for the extinguishing head (3). In order to create an enclosure (10) by means of which reliable protection of the receiving region (8) during the pouring of the concrete or reinforced concrete slab (2) is ensured and which can also be left in the slab without any problems, the body (15) of the enclosure (10) is made entirely of concrete.
