The invention relates to a bar-type construction profile 1 produced from flat stock materials 2, 3a, 3b, 4, wherein: at least three flat stock materials 2, 3a, 3b, 4 are joined to one another to form a composite workpiece; the flat stock materials 2, 3a, 3b, 4 are joined to one another by at least two weld seams 5; the flat stock materials 2, 3a, 3b, 4 are joined to one another in the axial longitudinal direction of the bar-type construction profile 1; the composite workpiece is shaped in a shaping process; and the shaped edges 6 resulting from the shaping operation extend at least partially, in particular completely, in the axial direction of the construction profile 1.
