METHODS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS HAVING FINE AGGREGATES REPLACED BY TAILINGS AND CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS OBTAINED THEREBY
The present invention relates to methods for the manufacture of cementitious materials, where aggregates are replaced by tailings, and to cementitious materials obtained thereby. In particular, the fine fraction of aggregates can be replaced by tailings without the need for adjustment of the gradation. The present invention further relates to the use of tailings with a maximum particle size of not more than 200 µm and at least one of CaO and Ca(OH)2 to replace the fine fraction of aggregates in a cementitious material.
