A pipe interrupter has a pipe with an inlet and an outlet, wherein at least one ventilating opening connects an interior space of the pipe to an exterior space of the pipe between the inlet and the outlet. The pipe has an upper portion which narrows inwards in a manner directed away from the inlet, and a jet guide which is introduced into the narrowing upper portion, has a convex outer surface, and is spaced apart from a guiding surface of the narrowing upper portion and is designed and arranged in such a way that water flowing through the pipe is guided between the guiding surface of the narrowing upper portion and the convex outer surface of the jet guide.
