Door abutment
An assembly providing an abutment 58 for a door 53 is arranged to hold the abutment 58 remotely from a side 51 of an opening 57 which is closed by the door 53. The abutment member 58 being located on an abutment carrying member 59 which is mounted to the side 51 of the opening to be closed 57 by a mount 56. Preferably the abutment member 58 is pivotably mounted to the mount 56 further may be pivotably mounted to the carrying member 59. The abutment member may be mounted such that movement of the door 53 causes movement of the abutment member 58. Optionally a bracing member 663, for bracing the abutment member 58 against a point out of the plane of the opening 57 when in a first position. The abutment 58 may be moveable between deployed and retracted configurations to allow objects to pass through the opening 57 while providing an abutment when the door 53 is in a closed configuration.
