Construction pillar comprising a base (foot) 1, inlet and outlet valve 2, compressed air chamber 3, fixed structure 4, thermal insulation 5, piston 6, pillar 7. The extent of the flexible pillar is adjusted by moving the pillar. This can be used to make buildings resistant to shock, for example from earthquakes. The flexible pillar can be used in bridges, viaducts, highways and roads. It does not need reinforced concrete foundations, but can use hard subsoil.
