Inlet valve assembly
A method of installing an inlet valve assembly 1 for filling a toilet cistern. The inlet valve assembly comprises an inlet pipe 5 (105, 205, 305, 405, 505, 605, 705, 805) and a valve 2 with an outlet 4 and an inlet fluidly connected to the inlet pipe. The inlet pipe is moved/swivelled or reconfigured between a first, side-entry configuration and a second, bottom-entry configuration. In the side-entry configuration, the inlet pipe extends in a first direction for connection with a side wall of a cistern. In the bottom-entry configuration, the inlet pipe extends in a second direction opposite the first direction, for connection with a bottom wall of the cistern. Alternatively, one of a pair of different inlet pipes may be fitted to the inlet of a valve of the inlet assembly. Later embodiments relate to an inlet valve assembly and a kit of parts.
