A shutter member
A shutter member 50 for concrete is formed from a single planar sheet of malleable material. At least one tie 54 is formed integrally with, and wholly within a portion of, the shutter member. The tie is arranged to fold outwardly from the shutter to engage with a further portion of the shutter. The tie may be defined by three edges cut out of the shutter, and may be joined to the shutter along a line of weakness 56 at its proximal end, assisting the bending of the tie out of the shutter. A first tie may engage with a second 60 via engagements 57 when the shutter is in a folded configuration, and the first and second ties may be formed in a wall portion 52 and base portion 51 of the shutter respectively. The shutter member may comprise pre-defined lines of weakness to permit portions of the shutter to be folded. A shuttering system is also claimed where identical shutters are stacked in a flat configuration.
