Novel spring bolt lock assembly for door lock
A spring bolt lock assembly comprising a bolt 111 with a slot in the middle in which is preferably located a slide pin trigger 142 to automatically eject the lock bolt 111 upon coming into contact with a door jamb. The bolt 111 includes transverse slots on either side of the central slot in which may be located top pins 131 abutting limit pins 134 mounted in the housing which retain the lock bolt in the retracted position. Preferably the slide pin has an annular notch cooperating with pins 133. Upon closing the door the slide pin retracts to push apart pins and release the limit pins 134 from the bolt 111. A spring biased ejection assembly (160, fig.4) may extend the lock bolt. The bolt 111 may include a lock bar 116 preventing rotation of door handle/knob. The door jamb may include a torsion sprung assisting flange (202, fig.2) allowing opening of the door without triggering the slide pin.
