Apparatus and method for maintenance of a water supply
The invention relates to a water supply system and method to allow the provision of a continuous supply of usable water to user premises, via a water supply system, even when the connection to one of two sources of the water is closed. The system and method comprises an adaptor device (2 figure 1) with first and second passages 26, 32, wherein an inlet 24 of the first passage is connectable to a first source (10 figure 1) and an inlet 30 of the second passage is connectable to a second source (18 figure 1). The outlets of the first and second passages are connected to a common pipe (6 figure 1) of the water supply system to allow water from one of the sources to pass through the adaptor device and into the said common pipe. A later embodiment relates to an auxiliary water supply apparatus for selective connection to a length of pipework to scourge the pipeline.
