Improvements in and relating to bollards and barriers
A bollard apparatus 1 for use as a vehicle barrier comprises a plurality of bollard members 2 at least one of which is attached to one or more of a plurality of separate foot members 3 for emplacement on or embedment in a ground surface. Each foot member comprises a front edge P, a rear edge D and at least one lateral edge L. The lateral edge 5 opposes a corresponding lateral edge 6 of a neighbouring foot member and is non-planar. The lateral edge comprises a first edge part and a second edge part laterally offset from the first. A coupling assembly 4A/B attached to the lateral edge couples neighbouring foot members together. The lateral edge may have a curved or stepped profile and may form a tongue and groove arrangement with a neighbouring foot member or an intermediate member. The foot member may comprise a plate and the coupling assembly may be articulated. The coupling assembly may be a cable, wire, chain, a loop or a hinge. Also claimed is a bollard unit comprising a bollard and foot members, and a kit of parts for a bollard apparatus.
