Foundation Beam and Foundation Assembly
A foundation beam (2) for a foundation assembly having a plurality of spaced primary support members such as a pile (Fig. 3; 30, 32 and 34), wherein the foundation beam rests upon and spans a gap between respective primary support members, in use, said foundation beam comprising an upper support surface (6) for supporting a wall thereon, a vertical thickness and a lower surface (8) arranged to rest upon respective primary support members, in use, said foundation beam having a hollow central void (4) extending along the length thereof, said central void having a lowermost region (10) incorporating upwardly converging sides (12 and 14) to facilitate retention of a settable material therein.
