PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic cock capable of automatically discharging water, by surely and suitably detecting a detection object by this detection sensor, by arranging the detection sensor so as not to impair an appearance.SOLUTION: An automatic cock comprises: a water discharge part 1 having a water discharge port 1a; a detection sensor part 2 for detecting an object in a detection area lower than the water discharge port 1a; and a control part 27 for automatically controlling water discharge and water cutoff based on a detection signal from the detection sensor part 2. In addition to this, the water discharge part 1 comprises a projected support part 15, and a water discharge part body 12 arranged at the tip 15b side of the support part 15 and formed with the water discharge port 1a, and the detection sensor part 2 is provided in the water discharge part body 12, and is adjacently arranged to the water discharge port 1a in the rear of the water discharge port 1a.
