PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon window with high mullion strength, short breadth and simple appearance.SOLUTION: In a ribbon window 10, a first jamb 34 of a first window sash 30 and a second jamb 44 of a second window sash 40, which are adjacent among multiple window sashes, are placed so that a first opening side leg 36 of the first jamb 34 faces a second opening side leg 46 of the second jamb 44 in the horizontal direction across a mullion 50. The mullion 50 is a hollow body part 52 thrusting into a first C-shaped cross section 35 formed on the first jamb 34. The body part 52 in the first C-shaped cross section 35 has a gap between an end on insertion side in the horizontal direction and non-opening side part 35a of the first C-shaped cross section 35. The body part 52 also has a pair of outward pieces 56, which are formed on opposite side of the insertion side in the horizontal direction of the body part 52 and locked and fixed on the second jamb 44 inside the second C-shaped cross section 45 placed on the second jamb 44.
【課題】方立の強度が高く、横幅が小さくかつ外観がシンプルな連窓を提供する。【解決手段】複数の窓サッシのうちの隣り合う第一窓サッシ３０の第一縦枠３４と第二窓サッシ４０の第二縦枠４４とが、該第一縦枠３４の第一開口側脚部３６と該第二縦枠４４の第二開口側脚部４６が前記横方向において対向するように配置され、その間に方立５０が介装されている連窓１０であって、前記方立５０は、前記第一縦枠３４に設けられた第一Ｃ型断面部３５の内部に入り込んだ中空形状の本体部５２であって、前記内部において該本体部５２は前記横方向における挿入側の端と前記第一Ｃ型断面部３５の非開口側部分３５ａとの間に隙間を有し、該本体部５２の前記横方向における挿入側とは反対側に形成され、前記第二縦枠４４に設けられた第二Ｃ型断面部４５の内部において該第二縦枠４４に係止固定された一対の外向き片５６とを有することを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
