SILICON NITRIDE-BASED SINTERED COMPACT, AND IMPACT WEAR-RESISTANT MEMBER INCLUDING THE COMPACT
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicon nitride-based sintered compact having excellent impact wear resistance while keeping excellent thermal shock resistance, and to provide an impact wear-resistant member including the silicon nitride-based sintered compact.SOLUTION: A main crystal of the silicon nitride-based sintered compact is silicon nitride and the silicon nitride-based sintered compact contains silicon carbide in a grain boundary phase being the space among the adjacent main crystals. The silicon carbide has, at the least, 4H type, 6H type and 15R type crystalline polymorphs and the silicon carbide of 4H type accounts for 25-35% of the total mass of the silicon carbides of 4H type, 6H type and 15R type. As a result, the silicon nitride-based sintered compact has excellent impact wear resistance while keeping excellent thermal shock resistance.
【課題】優れた耐熱衝撃性を有しつつ、さらに耐衝撃磨耗性に優れた窒化珪素質焼結体およびこれを備える耐衝撃磨耗性部材を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の窒化珪素質焼結体は、主結晶が窒化珪素であり、主結晶間である粒界相に炭化珪素を含み、炭化珪素が、少なくとも4H型,6H型および15R型の結晶多形を有しており、4H型,6H型および15R型の炭化珪素の合計質量における4H型の炭化珪素の質量百分率が25%以上35%以下である。これにより、優れた耐熱衝撃性を有しつつ、さらに耐衝撃磨耗性に優れる。【選択図】 なし
