STEEL COLUMN WITH COATING LAYER AND CORROSION-PROOFING METHOD FOR EXISTING STEEL COLUMN
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel column with a coating layer that offers excellent anticorrosion performance nearby the ground, and a corrosion-proofing method for an existing steel column that provides an excellent corrosion protection work nearby the ground.SOLUTION: A steel column with a coating layer has a corrosion-proofing work performed at a part nearby the ground, and has an anticorrosive layer, an adhesive layer and an anti-corrosion metal layer, in that order, on a main surface nearby the ground of the steel column, and furthermore has two edge part seals that respectively cover upper and lower edge surfaces of the anti-corrosion metal layer. A surface roughness (Ra) of the anticorrosive layer is 10 μm or less. The edge part seal does not adhere to the steel column, but instead adheres to a main surface of the anticorrosive layer and a main surface of the anti-corrosion metal layer, where each of the adhered parts measures 30 mm or more in a longitudinal direction of the steel column.
