PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive seismic strengthening device that dispenses with lining reinforcement of a bridge pier and a seismic control damper.SOLUTION: A seismic strengthening device for a bridge includes: a superstructure-side bracket 11 that is attached to an undersurface of a bridge girder 102; a deflection bracket 12 that is attached to the undersurface of the bridge girder 102 on the side of an abutment 100 with respect to a bridge girder fixing bracket; a substructure-side bracket 13 that is attached to a front surface of a vertical wall of the abutment; and first and second connection belts 14 and 15 which each pass the deflection bracket 12, which have one end attached to the superstructure-side bracket 11, and which has the other end attached to the substructure-side bracket 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
