UNDERWATER WORK DEVICE AND UNDERWATER WORK METHOD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater work device and an underwater work method, which enable a hoisting load to be suspended and installed in a predetermined position and a predetermined direction in the water, while dispensing with work performed by underwater workers.SOLUTION: An underwater work device includes: a hanging frame 15 which is provided between a hoisting load 14 and a wire 13 extended from a crane 12, and which is moved integrally with the hoisting load 14 in the state of detachably holding the hoisting load 14; a sensor 17 for detecting a direction of the hanging frame 15; thrust generators 22a and 22b for turning the hanging frame 15 in the water; and a control unit 16 for controlling operations performed by the thrust generators 22a and 22b so that the direction of the hanging frame 15 measured by the sensor 17 can agree with a desired direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
