PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate driving facility capable of lifting a gate more quickly than with a manual handle, when a power source has been lost.SOLUTION: A gate driving facility 10 that rotates an output shaft 11 for lifting/lowering a gate 12 includes: a planetary gear mechanism α having a planetary gear 27 and a first and a second input gears 23, 28; an electric motor 14 that supplies rotary force to lift/lower the gate 12 to the output shaft 11, through the first input gear 23, the planetary gear 27, and power transmission means 13; a fuel engine 48 that supplies rotary force to lift/lower the gate 12 to the output shaft 11 through the second input gear 28, the planetary gear 27, and the power transmission means 13; a manual handle 41 that supplies rotary force to lift/lower the gate 12 to the output shaft 11 through the power transmission means 13; first and second braking means 22, 55 that respectively fix the first and the second input gears 23, 28; and unlocking means 44a for switching without electricity supply to a released state in which the gate 12 is lowered by own weight thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
