PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppression apparatus for a structure, which can wholly and properly suppress vibrations of the structure having an intermediate layer part provided with a base-isolating device.SOLUTION: A vibration suppression apparatus 1 for a structure includes a base-isolating device 2 which is provided in an intermediate layer part SM of the structure B and which suppresses transfer of vibration energy to an upper-story part SU of the structure B from an a lower-story part SL of the structure B, and a mass damper 11 which has an inertia mass body, which is provided in the lower-story part SL of the structure B and which makes the inertia mass body move in association with the vibrations of the structure B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
