ZIRCONIA RAW MATERIAL POWDER AND ZIRCONIA SINTERED BODY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia sintered body having high mechanical strength and excellent translucency, and a zirconia raw material powder which can be used for producing the same.SOLUTION: The zirconia raw material powder comprises fine powder which has a crystal phase exclusively containing tetragonal crystals, a half peak width of a first peak of the tetragonal crystals in a powder XRD measurement which is restricted to a sufficiently small value in a range of 0.26 to 0.31°, and a BET specific surface area of 17 (m/g) or more. Therefore, by using this raw material powder, pressure molding the same in a desired shape, and further subjecting the molded material to a calcination treatment, there can be obtained a zirconia sintered body having high translucency and also high mechanical strength.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】 機械的強度が高く且つ透光性の優れたジルコニア焼結体と、その製造に用い得るジルコニア原料粉末を提供する。【解決手段】 ジルコニア原料粉末は、結晶相が専ら正方晶から成ると共に、粉末XRD測定におけるその正方晶の第1ピークの半価幅が0.26〜0.31°の範囲内の十分に小さい値に留められ、且つ、BET比表面積が17(m2/g)以上の微粉であることから、この原料粉末を用いて、所望の形状に加圧成形し、更に焼成処理を施すと、透光性が高く且つ機械的強度も高いジルコニア焼結体を得ることができる。【選択図】図3
