PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top edge fixing hardware that suppresses cluttering of a tilted handrail, and also suppressing loosening of a member for fixing a top edge of the tilted handrail on a vertical surface.SOLUTION: A top edge fixing hardware 1 for fixing a top edge surface 19 of a tilted handrail 3 on a vertical surface 4, the tilted handrail being installed along a stairway or a ramp, includes a fixing hardware body 6 having a handrail connecting piece 7 fixed on an undersurface 20 of the tilted handrail 3 and a vertical surface connecting piece 9 fixed on the vertical surface 4, handrail side fixing means for fixing the handrail connecting piece 7 on the undersurface 20 of the tilted handrail 3, and vertical surface side fixing means 10 for fixing the vertical surface connecting piece 9 on the vertical surface 4. An angle formed between the handrail connecting piece 7 and the vertical surface connecting pice 9 is equal to or smaller than an angle formed between the undersurface 20 of the tilted handrail 3 and the vertical surface 4. When the vertical surface connecting piece 9 is fixed on the vertical surface 4, a bent part 11 opens, by elastic deformation thereof, to an angle suited to an inclination of the tilted handrail 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
